I just got an approval for a “Summer” league for LL this year so the kids can play.

Rules are this:

1. NO All-Star tournament for the Summer League
2. Can play regular season play from May 15-July 31 government shutdowns permitting and local health concerns are over.
3. Insurance will be in full effect.
4. Adminster and operate as a regular season.

What this means in short is that ALL Leagues in the District can move their season to the dates above and play baseball during that time. You will be covered by insurance and all regular Little League rules apply. There will be NO All-Star or Post Season play, however having a “City Championship” is fine.

We will NOT hold a District level tournament  for this season during the summer. We don’t have any update at this time for the normal District Tournament. So feel free to talk among your Boards and decide if you would like to have a Summer season instead of a “Regular” season. With Little League pushing the start of play out to mid-May, I don’t know how we will get District and State play in … but we will see. No official word on those yet.
