I wanted to remind everyone of a few things and the associated important dates:

I will be sending out League Assessments in about a week. Those are used to fund District Operations. We discussed and voted on these during our last meeting. Those are due by April 15.
There is an umpire clinic that is FREE to anyone who wishes to learn umpiring with the State Umpire-In-Chief Dennis Williams. It is tentatively scheduled for Mar 13 in Liberty Lake. There will be some class time, field time, and snacks and beverages provided.
I am open to holding a coaches clinic in March as well. We had talked about South Hill, Liberty Lake, or Cheney as being the site of that, however I am open for suggestions. Please let me know if ANYONE has any other ideas for where/when to hold a coaches clinic. We can put on clinics (2 hour each) for T-Ball, Minors, Majors, Intermediate, and Juniors…
District Tournament is to be held Liberty Lake this year. Date is Jun 27. Liberty Lake President will be the tournament director. So far we are considering Minors, Majors, 10-11, Intermediate, and possibly softball. Please let me know as the season goes on as to what your participation will be – the more teams we have in every division, the better we perform at State.
State Tournament Schedule is attached. It just got finalized this week. It also includes regional and world series dates.

Keep in mind that a “meet the team night “ is a great way to get volunteers and resources for your league operations. I am happy to give you the run-down on how to do a successful “meet the team night”.
