The first month of the 2025 season has already come and gone, which means baseball and softball season is right around the corner.
As February gets underway, here are
five things to ensure your leagues are thinking as Opening Day quickly approaches:
1.
Registration Prep:
Take advantage of our
Registration Checklist, list of
Fun Ways to Promote Registration, and think about these
Three Groups to Target, along with various other resources across
Little League ® University.
2.
Marketing the Program:
Start utilizing all the
communication tools to help market your league, around the community, including our
various marketing resource downloads as well as our new
customizable resources through EventGroove, which can be accessed directly through the
Data Center.
3.
Required Volunteer Training:
Work with your leagues to ensure all volunteers have
submitted a volunteer application and have completed both their
background check through JDP and their
Little League Abuse Awareness Training.
4.
Selecting Players:
Make sure all your leagues are following the
approved draft methods for player selection this season.
5.
Tee Ball Guides and Other Education:
Whether a first-time coach or long-time volunteer, becoming a Tee Ball coach can be an overwhelming experience, so be sure to take advantage of our
10-Week Program Guide and other easy-to-follow drills at
LittleLeague.org/TeeBall.
