Hi All,

Here are the brackets for the District Tournament coming up… Several logistical considerations are below.

Please notice the Girls Softball tournament starts early (23rd), and the first day is a Double Header. We will have our SOFTBALL manager’s meeting for the Softball division the 23rd of June at 2:00. This  will take approximately 30- 45 minutes. First pitch is at 4:00 PM – The meeting will be held at the fields.

The District President’s meeting is June 25th at 3:00 PM in Cheney, we will publish the location (most likely at the fields),. Followed by that will be the Managers meeting at 4:00 PM at the fields. ALL MANAGERS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND The MANAGERS MEETING (OR ONE OF THEIR COACHES). THIS MUST BE A PERSON WHO WILL BE IN THE DUGOUT FOR THE ENTIRE TOURNAMENT… A PRESIDENT DOES NOT COUNT FOR THIS.

We will go over the rules for the tournament and any specific details.

As to the President’s meeting, we as DAs are required by Little League to hold 5 meetings with the leagues each year - this is number 4. We have several issues to cover.

I have also had a question about Rosters…

  • Can 11 players be rostered for an All-Star team? Answer: It requires a waiver. No waivers have been presented to me for any changes in player counts at this time. Western Region has stated several times in the last year, beginning with the Western Region round table the rosters must contain 12 players (at a minimum).

Also attached are the summaries of rules for play in the “International Tournament” (Which is what Districts are)… Please make sure your managers are aware.

June 17th at No-Li Brewery is the book signing meeting. Please have all your documentation in your binders by then please. We meet at 7:00 PM.

All binders must include:

  1. Forms and Affadavits for the players (School waivers, registration forms, affadavits, etc)
  2. Each player’s parent or guardian must sign the forms
  3. Medical release
  4. Diamond Leader Training Certificates for each manager and coach
  5. Abuse awareness training certificates for each manager or coach
  6. Map with player locations for each player on the Roster.
  7. Pitch Count forms
  8. Player agent and president signatures on all forms necessary.
  9. Signatures from SCHOOL OFFICIALS on all forms related to school waivers.

I have received NO waivers for any players at this time, or for any other reason. Waiver submission cut offs were June 1. If you have any questions about the above, please let me know – phone number is 509-995-4200… or jarel@Jpiworldwide.com

See you all on Monday 17th
