It’s time to start planning the District Tournaments for 5/13.

Dist 5 will hold it’s District Tournament in Clarkston this year.

Dist 13 will hold it’s District Tournament in Liberty Lake this year.

We have the following divisions that could potentially hold a District Tournament

Baseball (Both 5 and 13)

9-10 Year Old

10-11 Year Old

Majors

Intermediate

(Juniors will be sent to state from District 5 if they get 12 games in this year at a minimum, no Juniors in 13 this year).

Softball (District 13 Only, Dist 5 does have Softball, but not sure yet what they want to do about District Tournament )

Both Tournaments will be held in the last week in June, which is necessary because some state divisions start the week right after the 4^th of July. I have sent out the state schedules earlier this year.

So we need to get an understanding of who is going to send All-Stars in which division this year for each District.  Since the leagues have been sending in their assessments this year, the District will buy the Trophies/Medals/Banners. I am asking EVERY LEAGUE to send at least one team in one division this year. If your league can send a team in EVERY division that would be GREAT!

We will also need lots of Umpires – Umpires – Umpires!

So – we need to hop on a Zoom call the week of the 18^th. We will do two separate calls… Does anyone have a day that works better to be on a zoom call? I anticipate the first call will be at 6:00 PM and the second at 7:15 – doesn’t take much to get the effort kicked off, the hard work comes after we have the kickoff call.

I am personally looking forward to a great district season this year. We are seeing lots of surprising growth in league numbers in both districts. I am also seeing new boards, new efforts, and people really stepping up!
