Day 1 of the District Tournament is in the books and we have a winner for Major’s Softball and 10-11 Baseball…
West Plains Little League won both of those. Congrats to the players and coaches for their work throughout the season and yes we beat the rain yesterday…
it was windy and a bit cool, but everything is still on schedule!
ALSO – Big news, Our “Super Mom” Stacy Ashcroft, because of her work with Little League has been selected as the
Grand Marshal for the Cheney Rodeo Parade!! Way to go Stace!
This also proves the point that Little League is about building community, and when you do it right, the community responds! All of D-13 is very thankful to have Stacey with us!
And I wanted to say what a great job Mark Dixon has done with the umpires. We had WELL qualified umpires on the bases and behind the plate. He’s done a great job all year, and now it’s showing up at Districts.
Liberty Lake Little League also did a good job with PJ’s team getting everything ready and keep his fingers crossed to keep the weather held off so we could get the games done. It was pretty incredible that
within about 5 minutes of handing out the awards it THEN started to rain!
Day 2 begins today with the Minors (8-10) and the Majors (12u) getting underway at 12PM. Come out and see how it’s done… I’m really proud of everyone !
