I would like to suggest May 14th as the date for the pitching clinic. I think this would give us enough time to try and get as many coaches as possible. Do we need kids to play catcher or is this just for pitchers?

All,

Based on our Zoom meeting a few days ago we can confirm the following for District Tournament –

Venue: Liberty Lake – Spokane South Little League – Liberty Lake

Brackets: TBD

Intermediate Division  June 20 – Start Time TBD

Majors, 8-11, 11-12 June 30 – Start Time TBD

Softball 8-10, 10-11, 11-12 (If needed) June 30 – Start Time TBD

Please contact Steve Raab, LLLL . He can be reached at  president@riverviewlittleleague.com. We will need lots of volunteers for bookkeeping, concession, field prep, umpires, etc. Please contact Steve to get your volunteers to him.

All-Star teams can be chosen any time after June 1. Practices can begin at that time…

State tournament details have already been sent out….

Stacy Ashcroft is the ADA for District 13. I’d love to have a few more to help out with District duties… we need about 3-4 more to volunteer to be on District staff. Stacy will be working with Steve and myself to execute and proctor the tournaments. Steve is the tournament director.

Also I am open to having a warmup tournament (games will count towards schedule) for anyone interested in playing a tournament across a weekend before All-Stars are picked. If you are interested in such a tournament, please respond to this email.

A few weeks ago, invoices were sent out to cover the District operating costs. This is called the “League Assessments”. Only a couple of leagues have paid their assessments for 2022. Please send those in ASAP as we use these funds to pay for District expenses relative to tournaments, training and so forth.

Also we discussed having a pitching clinic for ages 9-13. I would like to propose two dates: May 7 or May 14 – please let me know which fits best. We will most likely hold this at West Plains Little League or Liberty Lake LL. I would like the clinic broken into 2 sections – each about 1.5-2.0 hours long. Coaches that coach 9-11 Y.O. go first, then 11-13 after that. I would like to see a list of coaches attending, and 3-4 players in each age group attending as well to be used as examples… (don’t send your “Ace” pitchers, but rather send those that need work). The goal is to teach coaches how to be better coaches when teaching pitchers.

Any questions please let me know
