The voting results from the Little League Congress DA voting are starting to be parsed in. We did not get all the results, but we did get some. There will be some rule changes for next year that we will discuss during our October meetings. Not all the voting results have been published yet… I am just providing the ones I have received.

Rule Change 1 – Tball to age 3 – Passed

Rule Change 2 – Players failing to meet at least 1 in person attendance for tryouts for majors and above lose their eligibility – Passed

Rule Change 3 – During regular season only, adults may warm up pitchers – Passed

Rule Change 4 – 8 Run mercy rule for Intermediate and Above – Passed

Rule Change 5 – Intentional Walk Type 1 – Passed

Rule Change 6 – Intentional Walk Type 2 – Passed

Rule Change 7 – Base runner Leaving base too soon, Minors, Majors, runner is OUT – Passed

Rule Change 8 – Tournament only rule change – 3 coaches in the dugout regardless of roster size – Passed

Rule Change 9 – Remove May 15 date as the date of announcement of All-Stars – new criteria for announcement date – Passed

The rest of the items to be voted on have not been shared at this time with the DAs. We will go over each of the details and ramifications of these rule changes in our October meetings.
