It looks like Little League is getting ready to start up in Washington State. Below are some guidelines that the DA’s across the state are talking about – The exclusion right now is for Tournaments, but doesn’t include things like local tournaments. MOST leagues are talking about an April start date for the season. Remember we have a call on the 14^th with Board members from ALL LEAGUES in the District…. I sent the details last week. I will send a reminder tomorrow….

When we have our call this week, we will discuss some of the Governor’s guidelines in getting back to playing baseball!

FROM DA Dist 1:

Latest from the WA governor's office. We need to get to phase 2 for games, but no tournaments. For planning purposes, we are looking at starting our season hopefully in April for WA D1.

Sporting Activities: recreational, K-12, higher education and professional (Significant new changes including new sports added to low risk)

FROM DA Dist 2:

Note that the exclusion of tournaments does not include our tournament games.

Guidance applicable to ALL sporting activities in all phase levels

No tournaments allowed for moderate and high risk sports. A prohibition on tournaments for sporting activities does not include postseason, playoff, state or regional championship competitions with no more than four teams at one site sanctioned by a statewide interscholastic activities administrative and rule-making body that oversees competition in all counties in the state.

This does limit things to 4 teams per site at a time.
