All, I am hoping to get a District 13 meeting together for all board members and UICs via Zoom or something similar for Jan 14 at 6:30 PM. The invitation is below at the bottom of this email. We have lots to discuss: 1. Who is starting registrations 2. Planned regular season 3. District Tournament 4. State Tournament 5. Other business Western Region is asking us to see how we can make a regular season for the players, and the State DA group is working on plans for a regular post season. As many of you know LL has assigned us the State LL/Majors tournament again this year and we need to make decisions on that - preferably as a group. Try to get as many of your Board Members to attend as we need all the input we can for the decisions. I'll try to keep it under an hour. The current STATE TOURNAMENT Schedule is as follows: Softball: 8-10 July 10th 10-11 July 10th 11-12 (Majors) July 3 Juniors - July 5 Seniors - July (TBD) Baseball: 8-10 - July 10th 10-11 - July 17th Majors/LL - July 17th (In Dist 13) Intermediate - July 7th Jr/Sr (Both tournaments being held on July 10th in the same venue One thing that the DAs from around the State have noted that with the schools either cancelling or limiting sports, they expect a higher turn out for the older age groups. We should be prepared for this. One DA did note that perhaps because the parents are "out of practice" for bringing kids to practice and games that we may see a decline in participation in the younger age groups. By now you all should have had your League Elections and be ready for 2021! If not, let's get that done ASAP. We need to be ready for this season!
