ASAP Plans, District Tournaments, State tournaments, and District Fees
Hi All, Need to remind you all that the deadline for ASAP plans is upon us... so please make sure you have them all in. Also, please be reminded the league assessment fees are due now as well. We had voted to increase our league assessment fees by $2 per player this past winter meeting instead of doing Home-Run or Hit-a-thons or other fundraisers for the District fees. Stacy will be sending out invoices for the league assessment fees shortly - Also - if anyone is interested in a mid-season tournament let me know as I would love to see a full tournament sometime in early May. This helps get additional playing time for the players and puts them in a tournament scenario before it's all-star time and it gets more players the "tournament" experience. And speaking of tournaments, Deer Park is slated to host Districts this year... we are looking at the end of June for it... just before Hoopfest. There had been some talk of splitting it in two an having some of it hosted at West Plains at a later date, but I have not heard yea or nay about that from the leagues so for now it's all still on at Deer Park/Tri-County. This includes all divisions baseball and softball. And as a final note... the final locations for the state tournament are still being jiggled around. We had some leagues bow out of state duties recently, so the DA(s) are still finalizing the last location(s). The Districts hosting the tournaments have not changed, but the locations are still not nailed down. I can send out the "old" list but it will most likely need some updating...shortly. Let me know if this is of interest or just wait till the final list is out. I have requested a final list/close to final list and I anticipate it any time now. As soon as I get something confirming, I will pass it on. JP, Are you able to send out the dates again for everything? I would be interested in a middle of June tournament, since there will be quite a bit of time that passes between the end of the season and when the All Star Tournaments start.
