That is correct. Since the regular season chartered division doesn’t matter for all-stars and since Senior Division covers all of the age range there is no reason for us to charter for both. The only prior down side was that 12 year-olds weren’t eligible for Seniors in regular season without a waiver. Now even they could be included, if they had the talent and wanted to play, without a waiver needed.
So the age range for Seniors covers the whole group and that give us the most flexibility.

If I understand your email correctly you chartered your Junior League SB in Senior Division correct? Then come All Star time you drop down to Junior All Stars for those 12-14 year olds? If enough of 15-16 year olds you would have a Senior All Star team?
We are thinking of chartering Seniors this year because we have some (not enough for a team) that have registered and rather than turn them away I would like them to play. I'm sure we wouldn't have enough to from a Senior All Star team unless registrations pull them in.

So our leagues typically charter for the Senior division (which allows ages 12-16) and then they look at what they get for registration. They all play interleague during the regular season. When there are enough of the older girls to make some true Senior teams then they form the teams with a bias toward age and try to play in two different interleague “divisions”. If we do manage to get enough older girls I’m sure they would be anxious to play some teams from other districts. We just don’t know yet what we will have.

Good Morning Fellow DAs,
I had a parent reach out to me saying that he has a Softball Seniors team ready to go for the 2021 Little League season. This surprised me as its been at least 10 years since District 8 had a Seniors team, and we’ve done very little to advertise the program.
Question – Are any of you aware of your leagues fielding a Seniors team this year? And if not, could you pass the word on? It would be absolutely great to kickstart this program again, and I’d be happy to organize it.
