So have I missed something??

We are now less than two weeks out and I haven’t heard a peep from Marc with the Mariners—and I haven’t asked any of my league presidents about it because the last email I had from Glen stated that Marc was going to take care of that inviting them, and that invitations would go out last week. I know the majority of you guys live over on that side of the state—including Marc—but for those of us who live on the east side of the mountains, it takes a bit of planning to make arrangements to come over for a Mariners game! I certainly hope he’s not just gonna spring this event on our D-12, 5 and 13 league presidents at the last minute!

And furthermore, last year there was some sort of ticketing snafu and I ended up having two passes to the game but no parking pass, and so I figured I’d just pay to park in the main parking garage only to find it was “by reservation only” and so we had to drive around and finally parked over in the Lumen Field garage and walked over—which caused us to be late, and by the time we arrived all the “outdoor” seats were taken so my sister and I basically just ate a plate of food and watched the game on the tv inside the suite. I’m sorry if this sounds petty, but if I wanted to watch a ballgame on tv I can do that from home or in the comfort of my hotel room! I hope we’re getting actual game tickets with seat assignments this time so that I can sit and actually enjoy being at a live MLB game…otherwise, since my hubbs has to work that weekend, I’m driving over alone and I’ll probably just bag out of the game and see you guys on Saturday morning. Lol as if you couldn’t tell, I’m pretty annoyed by the lack of organization on Marc’s end, and I would very much appreciate knowing what’s going on!!

Yes. I’ve passed that on to Marc a few weeks ago. After we get invites and tickets, I’ll be sure he has also sent them tickets.

But I appreciate the reminder! This process has been screwy enough without dropping them.

Friday night is going to remain a presidents/D.A. evening. He said he would have invitations out this week. I don’t know the mechanism for getting presidents there and I haven’t heard about guests. If I had to guess, I would say the presidents who registered their teams on the website for tickets will probably be the invited presidents (but I don’t know). Marc is not expecting us to do the invitations last I heard.

Saturday we will have our meeting from 9:30 to finish. Bob has obtained the Redmond Community Center at Marymount where we have met before. Pat Ryan is the host, since the state tournament moves to District 2 in 2023.

Sunday, the Mariners will host D.A.s (plus John and Bev) and a guest for the 1:00 game. Marc is aware not everyone may be able to attend. He understands now that we planned for our meeting back in June when I got the date from him. Changing plans after that isn’t good.

I am waiting for a response from Marc on the questions you have been asking.
