Some of you know that Bob McKittrick (California District 38) underwent cancer treatments this past year. Shortly before the start of the 2022 season he completed his treatments and doctors told him he was cancer free. Many of us got to congratulate Bob in Williamsport when he was awarded the President's Award for his many years of volunteer service to the program.
Shortly after returning home from the Congress, Bob began to experience balance and speech issues. At the urging of his wife, he was admitted to the hospital. During testing they discovered a tumor in his brain. He underwent surgery and the tumor was removed. Doctors are optimistic that it didn't spread and Bob will be undergoing some minor radiation treatments to be sure.
