Williamsport ruled on this long ago – maybe mid 1990s. Notarization can be requested but not required. Medical release form don’t have expiration dates and can be continued from year to year. I doubt that has changed.

Also, we have a question/concern about the medical release forms having to be notarized for the juniors tournament—are you saying they have to be notarized or else the team can’t play? Or were you just making a “warning” so that teams are aware that they may not be accepted by a local hospital if a child gets injured and his parents aren’t there?

Hi All,


We are still desperately short on umpires for BOTH 8-10 and Juniors – 8-10 starts on the 22nd and Juniors on the 15th. We have umps for the weekend schedules but very few for during the week of play.


Any help will be appreciated. Both tournaments are short in filling the schedule. Behind the plate adult umps are what is needed.
