Hi All
We always do the “what if” game… parents would (and have) scream (ed) if we didn’t… if someone else got a chance to stay in, everyone should have the same chance. Also, I was one of the coaches coaching a 10-11 LL STATE Tournament team in Yakima in 2010 that WON coming up from the “losers” brackets… so yeah, I like “what if” games.

Subject: Re: Curiosity
For District 1 all of our district tournaments use the IF game. We did have the Majors BB District tournament go to the if game and the team coming from the lower bracket did win to go to State this year.
For the JR and SR State baseball that just concluded last week we did use the modified schedule, partly due to the Srs having such a short turnaround time to go to regionals and that we play our Championship games at the MLB Mariner Farm Team Funco Field. I had no complaints but we did communicate this very clearly to the managers at the manager meeting.

In D2 we have always used double elimination. This year we went to the IF game in 8-10 SB, 9-11 BB, Int BB, and Sr BB or 4 out of 9 divisions.
When possible I schedule the IF game as a doubleheader.

Hey all,
I’m curious what every district does for tournaments. Do you guys do double elimination or do you do a modified double elimination?
