And now for what has happened the last three days:

1. It was reported to me during the Managers Meeting at the fields that some manager and coaches brought alcohol in travel mugs and water bottles. They drank during the meeting. Now I know these meetings can be boring since they all know everything. If I find out who these people are, I will call it in and have them disciplined.
2. On Saturday, we had a group of spectators attempt to bring beer to the games. The only way we caught it was that the cooler tipped over, and it all fell out. Since this is a city park, they should have known better.
3. Today we had a group openly drinking beer at one of the games out at the right field fence. One person from that group wanted to be confrontational and came close to having police called on him. They have been ejected for the rest of the tournament.

In my 45 years of involvement in Little League, I have never seen so many dumb people gathered in one place simultaneously. To remedy this problem, all coolers will be banned from the park starting tomorrow. In addition, we will begin to toss spectators for any bad behavior. If you have any connections to your teams, please let them know that the hammer falls tomorrow!!
