I have not sent a letter for this grant, but I have offered many to leagues pursuing various grant opportunities.

 

I emphasize the number of players, age groups, that it is a volunteer organization, how many people the league brings to the area for tournaments, financial stability of the league, how long the league has served the community, and other relevant items that demonstrate the value of the league and how important the project for which they are requesting funds would be to the community.

 

I have written grants of up to 5 or 6 million dollars for various non-profits. It pays to know the granting organization, it’s goals and priorities and whatever else might give you an edge in writing proposals.

Good day! 

 

I was wondering if another district has been requested to draft a support letter for a league requesting grant money from GWG50?  And if so, would they mind sharing a copy I could use as a reference?  

 

Personally, I have never drafted a grant letter for Little League. I don't recall ever drafting a grant letter...

 

Is there specific verbiage I could or should use?
