Hello all,

Rain, Rain go away!! 

For whatever reason, mother nature decided to give us rain today. Not just any rain, torrential downpour, sideways rain. And it started just as the two 4 o'clock games were finishing. So, we were able to play those 2 games, but unfortunately, had to move the two 7 o'clock games to tomorrow. This decision was not made lightly, but at the end of the day, my UIC and I didn't feel it was safe for the kids to be on the fields in those conditions. I texted with Kit and she gave me the green light to move the two games to tomorrow.  All four managers were very understanding and also agreed that moving those games were in the best interest of the players. 

So, here are the results of the two games we did get in today:

Game 14 - Loser out

D3 Larch Mountain 3

D7 South Highline National 0

* this game was very good. Total game time was 56 minutes with no pitching changes. The same 2 pitchers that started the game, ended the game.*

Game 11 Loser out

D2 South Kitsap Western 6

D5 Othello 3

*Also a great game. D5 had a chance later in the game to close the gap, but just couldn't get them across the plate.*

Shout out to D9 and D2 for sending Umpire crews and also helping us out tomorrow for the rescheduled games!! THANK YOU!!! 

We are back at it tomorrow with 6 games. I may have a full head of gray hair by the time this tournament is over, but at least the kids are having fun and that is all that matters!!
