I think that sounds super fun! We have coordinated similar opening ceremonies events with the Tri City Dust Devils when D12 has hosted state tourney—except I didn’t get to throw a fish! Usually you won’t get 💯attendance from the teams/districts but the invitation is a really nice gesture and a great option for the families who do want to come into town the night before. Let us know if we should for sure go ahead and forward this letter to our winning team!

Message from Nick Meyer, President of West Seattle Little League in D7:

Hello Washington LL District Administrators!

West Seattle Little League (D7) is excited to host the 8-9-10s Baseball State All Star Tournament at our home Bar-S fields in West Seattle, July 19-26!

We are working on an Opening Ceremony with the DubSea Fishsticks, our local Summer Collegiate baseball team - our own version of the Savannah Bananas. 

Details are being worked on, but roughly:
- Mel Olson Stadium in White Center, just a few minutes south of West Seattle
- Friday 7/18
- Opening ceremony approx 5:45-6:15pm
- Fishsticks game is 6:35, game lasts approx 2 hours
- on-field activities for players before the game (players, bring your glove!), plus fun contests for kids between innings. They know how to put on a show!
- Full food & beverage concessions, including a beer garden for 21+ attendees
- Tickets would be approx $10 for all kids and attendees. I am working on details with the team and will get a link for families to pre-purchase tickets. 

I need RSVPs from your team so we can block out ticket sales. Please send Cammie (D7 DA) a YES or NO for your team.

I'll send more info as the event nears.
