I have talked to many of you this week, and I made an incorrect statement. I said the packets were due by June 1. This isn't true.

Our By-laws call for all state tournament brackets to be sent to West Region by June 1.
Our by-laws require all state packets to be out by June 15. I believe last year there were only two state packets actually out by June 15 - 3 & 5 - and the rest trickled in for as much as 10 days later. Please try to get these out by the deadline. Teams and parents depend on these to set time off and travel plans.
We have talked about having more streamlined packets. We will cover the rules at our manager's meeting, so there is no need to include rules information that they will not read, anyway.

I am sorry for those that I sent into a panic (including the host league for the intermediate state tournament that I have pressed for information by Sunday) about the packet deadline. June 15 is so much more reasonable.
