Subject: [Wadas] Senior Softball

Hi,

  WA D8 is very close to being able to assemble a Senior Softball team.  RUG Little League has their SB JR team that made it to the Championship game at the Tucson Regionals that basically wants to come back as a Senior Softball team.

I know that a Softball team at this level is rare.  There is no minimum regular season game play requirement (similar to Senior Baseball).  When no other teams at District exist, that All Star Tournament Team will get a bye to State, and in some cases in the past, has gotten a bye straight to Regionals.

Q for the WA DA’s is this:  Do any of you have any leagues in your Districts that may have a Senior Softball team as well?  I’m not looking to game the system here, but rather to find out if there are other Senior Softball teams in WA State teams that these girls can play a few games against.
