Just thought I would let you all know after 4+ years of trying we finally have a new “North Spokane Little League”… we have been trying since BEFORE COVID (B.C.) to find people that would undertake the effort to start a new (and HUGE geographically) league
that covers the North Spokane area… this league encompasses about 40,000 kids age 4-16 so we hope to get a few of those playing Little League this year. We aren’t going to try to conquer the world the first year, just maybe get some T-Ball playing and whoever
else decides to register.
We have field issues of course, there are a half-dozen or so “Travel ball leagues” that have a hundred or so teams, SIYB (Pony), and City Parks’n’Rec Leagues… so we are going to have to contend with others to get field resources, but we
have some committed people for the Board. The president is a former “West Side” president of LL who moved to Spokane a few years ago and has decided to step up and marshall the troops to get something going…
So we will keep our thoughts and hopes with this new Board and hopefully in a couple years they may go to state and get a chance to play there!
