All, I hope this email finds you all doing well and safe. Just a few notes from last nights meeting with April: 1. The West Region team count is down 21% year to date. Washington is down 18% year to date 2. There is still one million dollars left in the T-Mobile Call Up Grant program. Here is the link: https://www.littleleague.org/call-up-grant-program/ . Encourage your leagues to participate in this program. 3. Next, Make sure your leagues register for the Lift Your League Fundraising Programs. This is a great chance to get some funds to help offset expenses. Here is the link: https://www.littleleague.org/lift-your-league-support/ . 4. Look for more information on streaming games. There will be forms to be filled out as there must be a release from each participant involved in each game. This would include players, managers, coaches, and umpires. 5. Out of boundary player forms located in the Data Center are only for players from leagues that chose not to play this year. All other OOB players must be claimed on a II(d), IV(h), or go through the waiver process. 6. Please continue to have your leagues submit ASAP Safety Plans to the Data Center. Registration Data does not have to be submitted until May 1st. The plan still has to be submitted by April 2nd to receive the district incentive. 7. I have attached a matrix of State Tournament dates and locations. Please review this and submit any corrections to me. Thanks, Mike
Hello everyone, It looks like there's been quite a few changes to some of our initial dates: * 8/9/10 Baseball - Has slid to the left 5 days from a start date of July 10th to July 5th * 10/11/12 Baseball - Has slid to the right 2 days from a start of July 17th to July 19th * Majors Baseball - Has slid to the right 2 days from a start of July 17th to July 19th * All other tournaments are unchanged I have a BIG problem with sliding the 8/9/10 baseball tournament to the left 5 days. This forces me to end my regular season for my AAA AND Major baseball divisions a week earlier than initially planned. In a year where were starting our games up to two weeks later than normal, now I'm being forced to short change our regular season a third week for the sake of an 8 day tournament that could easily slide a week to the right and help to save my regular season. Does anybody else feel my pain? Hello All I found out yesterday that our plan to have the state 50/70 tournament at Underwood Park in Des Moines might not happen due to the city not allowing people at the parks due to covid. We will be researching a couple other field sites in Tukwila and SeaTac. Thanks Del DA WA D7 Sent from my iPhone
