Intermediate Tournaments? I am putting together two intermediate tournaments at the end of the year in Pullman. Friday night, June 2nd, and all day Saturday June 3rd. Then another tournament the following weekend with the same Friday night, Saturday all day type format June 9th and 10th. This is an end of the season tournament, so the kids can end their regular season in a very fun way. We play little league intermediates from Dayton, Richland, Cheney, and Lewiston during the regular season in Saturday double headers starting April 8th. Pullman is the only community with two Intermediate teams. Post Falls has three little league intermediate teams, and we are waiting for their very much assumed confirmation into at least one of our end of the season tournaments. Can you pass along any Spokane intermediate Little League teams contact info that might want to come over to Pullman and have some fun in an end of the season tournament with us? I have been working with the communities on our regular season schedule and we have come up with ways to ensure pitch counts are being adhered to during our Saturday regular season double headers as well as during the two end of the season tournaments. We are looking at a relatively small tournament fee to pay for the umpires from each community playing in the tournament. Pullman is a community lucky enough to have a pool of paid umpires that generally do a much better job than volunteers, especially at that intermediate level where some of the kids development starts to really show in their ability to command the strike zone and catchers trying to frame the strike zone etc.. If you know of any other intermediate level little league affiliates around the Tri Cities besides Richland or towards Othello, Moses Lake, or towards East Wenatchee that might want to take a weekend baseball trip to Pullman, please pass along their info to me 🙌 This is not a travel ball tournament by any stretch. This is an end of the season tournament for intermediate teams with players of all skill levels in the intermediate division getting to have a tournament like the travel ball kids get to, in a fun and exciting way to end their regular season. Please let me know if there are any communities struggling with getting games that would appreciate an opportunity like this. Thank you.
