All, Great effort by Pullman at State Intermediate.unfortunately they are done now, but played well in the Tournament - congrats all and lets make a run again next year in the Intermediate Division. Asotin County is finished at State for Girls Majors Softball - great work there. very glad to see district 5 putting a softball program back in the State tournament. While they didn't win, it was very good to see them work through districts and go on to State. Still up coming - Majors Baseball, 8-10s, and 10-11, 8-10 softball, Juniors Baseball and then the regional cycle starts. We will be hosting the 8-10 baseball in Othello starting Jul 22nd, and Juniors Baseball in Cheney/Medical Lake starting this weekend (15th). For the folks looking to add programs to their league the Juniors Tournament will be very good. We have a great "blue crew" Mark has put together and we have 10 teams showing up for the tournament. Saturday only has two games, (starting at 4:30), but Sunday is a full day with 4 games starting at 9AM. In Othello, Valerie has done a great job getting the 8-10s together. the City of Othello has really rolled out the red carpet for State and it's going to be a great tournament. They have arranged a lot of things for the families and players, including a downtown "block party" for the players, families, and town in general. It's gonna be a blast. Good Job Valerie! Both District 5 and 13 have entrants into the tournament - Nothing would be more exciting than to see both of those teams in the Championship, and from watching both districts play, I'm pretty sure it's a possibility - they are strong teams. Stacy still needs help for the Juniors Tournament, so please, if you have scorekeepers or pitch counters, then by all means contact her (or me) and we'll get you signed up. She could also use help with concessions, safety, and other things..
