Network Upgrade and status We have some great news.. We have completed Phase 2 of our upgrade to the Rodeo Wireless network! This is pretty special because for the first time in a long time, we completed a major upgrade that provides more service to customers than we ever have before. We mentioned the fact we would be upgrading the system a couple months ago. The process was long and arduous, with many of the upgrades being done transparently to you the user. but over the last 4-5 days these all culminated in a HUGE increase in capacity for Rodeo. Beginning last Thursday we started upgrading CORE systems. And NOW we have 10x (TEN TIMES!!) the capacity in our core network than we had just a week ago. Then last night (Tuesday night 7/23) we pushed the upgrades to our NODE network (which are the wireless antennas that feed your home radios) and more than DOUBLED the capacity to your homes and businesses. This is exciting for us as we are going to do something crazy. WE ARE GOING TO INCREASE YOUR BANDWIDTH FOR THE WIRELESS CUSTOMERS WITHOUT INCREASING YOUR COSTS! That's right, over the next few weeks Rodeo will be adding bandwidth to each and every radio increasing the amount of internet you have to your homes and not charging anything extra! Now how many times have you heard of the phone or cable company doing that (Pretty close to zero times we think)? We did bring the network up and down over the last 4-7 days as we added features, but no outages affected everyone although some did experience brief outages that lasted a few minutes, and the increases we see from our monitoring is pretty spectacular. We have been monitoring the new infrastructure over the last 24 hours and we are grinning ear-to-ear because of how the new capacity is performing. We still want to do more infrastructure upgrades as we push even more capacity deeper into the network and closer to your home connections. But essentially the hard part is finished.We want to say thanks for being patient with us, and we hope to get to the individual home upgrades across the next 4-5 weeks. Over the last 6 months we have upgraded servers, routers, power supplies and backup power supplies, fiber optic circuits, and now our capacity in our core. all to better serve you! The boundary or borders of the new area are 13th westward to the Golf Course, and about Maple to Libby! This is hundreds of homes and businesses in the Clarkston area. We are expecting the new section of Fiber Internet to be available in November of 2024. Existing Rodeo Wireless customers will be moved over to fiber at no additional cost to them and will have access to our FABULOUS Fiber Optic internet. blazing fast speeds and since our last update to you.100% uptime!
