All, We have started a program to notify customers when we think there will be adverse affects from weather, fires, or other things that may impact services. We are following a NOAA Weather warning for our area. The US Weather Service has issued a "High Wind" warning for our service areas. Winds are expected to be consistently between 25 and 40 MPH with gusts above 50MPH. This means that possibly there will be wind damage to trees, power lines, and structures. One example of how winds can affect internet services from Rodeo is that a wind gust can drop a tree branch on the antenna and cause it to come out of alignment or get bent or damaged in other ways. This will cause your service to go out. Additionally wind can drop branches on power lines causing power outages or spikes in the area on the power grid. This could impact the circuit in your home causing a powersupply on the equipment to fail due to the spike or resurgence of electricity. We are monitoring the winds and forecast for tomorrow (The warning is in place 11-11-23 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM) and if parts of our infrastructure are damaged we will have crews responding to outages if they occur.
