JP, You have rights to your previous phone number to have it transferred to a new device, and new service. I have moved mine around for decades. After my late mother passed I had a thought of moving to my childhood number. When I was young all I had to remember was 30844 because it was a long distance call to dial outside the OXford 69 exchange. Had to dial 0 for the operator and have them make the connection. Like lose my “baseball phone”… so I have a new phone number (it was a pre-paid phone the district paid for and not one with an account associate with it to back up my numbers).
