We have had 100% attendance at our last 4 state meetings. The only penalty we apply for managers not attending is that they lose the coin flip. We also remind them when they ask questions that it was covered at the meeting, and we don't offer them information on practice fields, etc. covered at the meeting, but we tell them if they ask. D1 has moved to doing our meetings virtually usually in midweek at 8 pm. All teams were represented for the SB 9-11 State meeting. We had a good Q/A session. We also provided documents for points of interest, tournament summary of rules that is provided by Little League that we reviewed

We have a policy in D13, if they don’t make the manager’s meeting, they don’t get coin flip privileges. 😊 In D13, the coin flip does two things: 1) The winner gets to pick home or away, and 2) the loser gets to pick their dugout. So… if you don’t have coin flip privileges, you always get the worst dugout and always most likely visitor. 😉 We don’t have default “home or away” dugouts… and just because you are “higher seed” doesn’t mean you get to be home. It’s always a coin flip every game in the tournament.

Question for all. Have any of you had several managers tell you they can’t come or don’t want to come to the meeting for the state tournament?
I have never had so many tell me this before.
Just curious if anyone else has experienced this and if you have what did you do?
