There are signs telling you to stay on I5 when you get near the construction so don't exit the freeway to an alternate route. The delay can be up to 90 minutes but it depends on the day and the time of day. If the delay is 30 or more minutes it is likely best to take exit 36 off I5 and follow the exit that goes toward Longview. Cross the bridge to Oregon and take highway 30 towards Portland.
