Dear West Region District Administrators,
As tournament season approaches, District Administrators are often placed in situations that require more than knowledge of rules and procedures. The most impactful tournament leaders are the ones who can provide clarity, communication, and leadership when pressure is at its highest.
To help support you through the upcoming tournament season, we invite you to join our next District Administrator Webinar:
*Tournament Excellence – Providing Leadership That Is Impactful*
Featuring: *Traci Duez* Current Little League® World Series Umpire & Leadership Consultant
*Wednesday, May 27* *8:00 p.m. ET* *45-Minute Session*
This practical leadership session will focus on how District Administrators can strengthen their leadership presence during tournament play — not just through structure and enforcement, but through how their leadership is experienced by leagues, volunteers, umpires, and participants in real time.
Throughout the session, Traci will explore:
- What tournament excellence truly looks like beyond operations and logistics - How leadership shows up during difficult or high-pressure tournament moments - Common leadership tendencies that can unintentionally create challenges - Strategies for improving communication, consistency, and clarity during tournament play - How DAs can better lead volunteers and umpire teams through guidance and mentorship - A practical decision-making framework for navigating real tournament situations - The role District Administrators play in setting the tone and culture for the tournament experience
Participants will leave with:
- A practical leadership lens for navigating tournament situations beyond rule enforcement - Increased awareness of how leadership shows up under pressure - Simple tools to improve communication and decision-making in real time - A clearer understanding of the District Administrator’s role as both a mentor and leader - Immediate application through reflection on real tournament scenarios
This will not be a traditional leadership presentation. Instead, it will be an interactive and practical conversation centered around the real experiences District Administrators face throughout tournament season.
A recording will be made available to all registrants following the webinar.
We hope you will join us for this timely and meaningful discussion as we prepare for another exciting tournament season across Little League®.
Thank you very much for your time and attention.
Sincerely,
*Nicholas L. Caringi*

Happy Friday! As we have crossed over into the month of May, I wanted to provide a few quick notifications:

*Tournament chartering is now open. *Please recommend to leagues that they charter all the teams that they believe they may have participating in the International Tournaments (for example, Seniors). If they do not send a team, they can change the count and be credited. *It is much more difficult and cumbersome to attempt to charter a team after the deadline.*
*Tournament Holds *- Leagues owing for their Regular season charters have been placed on Tournament Hold. This restricts them from chartering Tournament teams. and they will see a similar screen to the one below. Please advise them that the Tournament Hold will automatically be removed after their payment is processed and may take until the updates are processed overnight to reflect in their Data Center dashboard. Please ask them to only call our office if they have other concerns as we cannot remove holds for non-payment. *Tournament holds will reflect under the League name on your dashboard in red.*

*If you are in the area, stop by the Regional Headquarters this weekend and support out softball program and enjoy a day at the ballpark! *

Just a little update on our state website.
Our state site is moving from https://littleleaguewa.org <https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flittleleaguewa.org%2F&data=05%7C02%7C%7Ce141ebcc634841a8846a08deba22070d%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C639152852498710296%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=SrBywJHHa6iMUs%2BpPBVyEoaLy0yBBliAj57qB%2BrybB8%3D&reserved=0> to https://littleleaguewash.org <https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flittleleaguewash.org%2F&data=05%7C02%7C%7Ce141ebcc634841a8846a08deba22070d%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C639152852498744360%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=YyAT8uijfW4WTOeutZGMXP%2FukT4Qai5fk%2BUK8cpZzpA%3D&reserved=0>
I have moved all of our content and updated our site to the latest, secure versions of things. I have also updated a lot of old content (like the tournament history – the last 5 years are all updated now).
I haven’t redirected out old site, yet, but I will be doing that soon. If I did everything right, you shouldn’t notice a difference other than the new website is much faster and more secure.
(for our upcoming tournaments, here is the administration page where I will post all of our editable brackets as well as all the state packets (as I get them): 2026 Tournament Administration – WASHINGTON STATE <https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Flittleleaguewash.org%2Fstate-tournaments%2F2026-tournament-administration%2F&data=05%7C02%7C%7Ce141ebcc634841a8846a08deba22070d%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C639152852498767835%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=EIwqmzaAHhbrEIu33KJi29%2F%2Bm8xDpXLIEVx6SbdckhQ%3D&reserved=0> .
The password for the admin page is
