Question about the Washington Little League Site
Hi All I was looking at the Washington State Little League site and noticed the boundary maps for 5 / 13 are incorrect. how do we go about correcting that? We are getting ready for our annual district meetings and I wanted to use the map as an exhibit in a presentation. Regards JP DA WA5/13
Good morning WA DAs! It was a pleasure to spend time with you this past weekend and Congrats to the Mariners fans in the bunch! For any boundary map adjustments (including corrections) we need copy of the map with the correct borders and a written description that is as detailed as possible (e.g. start at point A at the corner of 1st and Elm St, follow Elm Northward to Pine, turn left, etc.). If there is a dispute as to what the correct boundaries are, then we will have to address those before we can publish the maps. Please let me know if I can assist in any way! Hi Kit I think this is the one produced by the State DAs.. The LEAGUE boundaries are correct, but we did one that was by District that I think was produced locally JP From: Wadas <wadas-bounces@lists.rodeonetworks.com> On Behalf Of Kit Golden Sent: Wednesday, October 5, 2022 11:54 AM To: Washington DAs Discussion Forum <wadas@lists.rodeonetworks.com> Subject: Re: [Wadas] Question about the Washington Little League Site Good morning WA DAs! JP, It is my understanding that technically, the district boundaries are determined by the sum of the league boundaries attached to your district. Historically the district boundaries were a bit more encompassing in our covetous view with the districts physically abutting each other. It was during the push to get league boundaries digitized that the concept of the district boundary changed. The important point is to be sure that a league has a boundary that includes the families that they want to serve. There may be large gaps between league boundaries which are opportunities to adjust and bring in more players. Well, I'm pretty sure whatever drew the boundaries that are off quite a bit for 13 and 5. just wanted to get those sorted as I am heading into my District meetings this month.
