WA State DA's Meeting Minutes and To-Do Followup
Hi everyone, Attached are the minutes from the WA State DA's meeting from earlier this week. There are some All Star items that still need some info, so please Reply All so that we can get the updates: 1. State SB 8-10: Was D6 successful in determining if they can host, and if so, is July 19 still the start date? If there is a location as well, please provide that. 2. State SB Seniors: D2 and D8 will be having a team. Please advise if other Districts were also going to have a team. * If only D2 and D8, then the two DA's will meet to determine dates, logistics, etc. * If more, then we need to know because this will all need to be planned. 3. Baseball 8-10: Host D7, Location unknown, July 19-26 4. Baseball Juniors: Host D2, Location TBD, July 5-13 Glen said he will send out an updated WA State Tournament calendar with details once we have the above information. Pat (D2), Bob (D9) and Melanie (D6) are going to work on a common set of All Star pre-game procedures so that all Districts can be consistent. When its ready (or a draft), they will communicate it out. That's it for now. As far as I know, this is not an outstanding item 1. State SB 8-10: Was D6 successful in determining if they can host, and if so, is July 19 still the start date? If there is a location as well, please provide that. My understanding is I was going to work with the D4 host league about altering the start date. I thought I clarified that during the meeting. If this is not the case please let know immediately so I can tell them. On Sat, Mar 29, 2025 at 11:08 PM Brian Marantz via Wadas < wadas@lists.rodeonetworks.com> wrote:

Hi Ann and Melanie, I apologize if I got this incorrect. I noted it in the minutes from our meeting last week that there was a lengthy discussion at the meeting about determining if a host change for State SB 8-10 along with dates and location would be occurring—and that D4 and D6 would work through this. There would be a follow-up to give updates on host, location, and dates. * “Softball 8-10: Host TBD (possibly D6), Location TBD, Tentative Dates returned to July 19-26? When there is an update for the DA’s, please reply and let us all know. Again, sorry if I got this incorrect. Hi, Still need to find out if anyone other than District 2 and District 8 will have a Softball Seniors Team. Just as planning is needed for each of the other State Tournaments, we need to plan for this one as well. District 2 and District 8 will handle the logistics, scheduling and other details. We really don’t want to find out in May (or even June) that other Districts will have a team after we have planned out the details. Please speak up or D2 and D8 will move forward with their planning.
