Use of portable mounds for State Major Baseball Tournament
All, The host league for the State Major Baseball tournament uses portable mounds on their fields. The mounds they use are True Pitch model 302 mounds. These are on Little League's approved list. They apparently just bought the mounds this year so they are in great shape (not cheap either). Tournament rules require that for games beyond District play the use of portable mounds must be approved by the Tournament Committee. For that approval they want to see concurrence from all of the districts participating in the tournament. I have sent you a separate email with instructions on filling out a Google Form to voice your approval or denial of using portable mounds. Please take a few minutes to fill out the form so that I can let Western Region (and all of you) know what your decision is.
