JLSWS Announcer Tom Davis Passing April 13, 2026

Hello Committee, I am writing to update you with the sad news that Tom passed away peacefully and without pain at approximately 2:00 AM this morning. His wife Kammi, his daughter Rylynn, and Kammi’s father were all present with him. There are currently no set plans for services, but Kammi is considering an online celebration to accommodate Tom's many friends and international colleagues. As many of you know, before serving as the head announcer for the JLSWS in 1999, Tom spent many years as the head announcer for the LLSWS in Portland. For several years, he managed to serve in both roles when the schedules permitted. As a career, Tom was an Everett School District educator, coach, and announcer. Tom and Kammi (mostly Kammi) also operated a Gelato/Cannoli/Espresso store in South Everett for many years. Joanne and I visited there many times and also appreciated the times Tom would bring gelato to a committee meeting or the World Series. I will keep everyone updated as further plans develop. Hi All, A couple of things to note when sending to the WADAS list... 1) You have to be a member to send. In the messages below, people are trying to send to the members of the list that are not members of the list. IF you have an ada or someone you think belongs on the list, they have to have their email approved. 2) There are messages being posted to the list that have 20-30 other addressees. The list stops those as that is a method of propagating SPAM. (People will have more than a few "CC" or main address line recipients and that creates the ability or is a hallmark of spammers.) So, if you send to other people, it can't share the email with WADAS if it more than 8 other addressees. My apologies for not working on this sooner. No one seemed to have any agenda items. I don't have the minutes from fall yet, but looking over my notes, I see nothing that urgently needs to be dealt with, so the request for a meeting seems to be about networking. We will have opportunities for networking at 4 Mariner games. Attached you will find my resignation letter for district administrator. I feel competent to do the state coordinator job, but the district job is not working for me, and I am not doing well at either. My resignation is effective Sept. 30, so the group will need to either replace me in September./October, or change the bylaws to allow a retired district administrator to serve as state coordinator.
