Attached is the meeting agenda for Saturday. I have also included minutes of our fall meeting from 2023, the matrix of tournament assignments incorporating the trade of the state major tournament from District 4 to 6 this year, the proposed 2025 tournament schedule, and a clean copy of the constitution incorporating all the prior amendments. I will have a limited number of printed agendas with all of this included. I am also attaching some information on concussions / sudden cardiac arrest, the 2024 directory so you can print it, make corrections and give it to me at the meeting (he said optimistically), and all the state tournament brackets. I am not making copies of these but hope to have them projected in the room during the discussions. I should have a couple of hours to figure out how to project things. I have not had great luck at this in the past, and unlike when I was teaching and being a school administrator, I won’t have a 14-year-old student to help me get it done. I don’t know the ability of the DA discussion forum to handle multiple attachments, so I am sending this two ways and possibly in multiple emails.

All, I am adjusting the mailing list "WADAS" still - it is ONE address we can send emails to with distribution to everyone. The correct address to send emails for the whole group to is: wadas(a)lists.rodeonetworks.com <mailto:wadas@lists.rodeonetworks.com> - (I have seen several of you sending messages to wadas(a)rodeonetworks.com <mailto:wadas@rodeonetworks.com> which is INCORRECT). YOU SHOULD GET THIS MESSAGE TWICE - PLEASE SEND A TEST MESSAGE WHEN YOU GET THIS FROM YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS to WADAS IF YOU ONLY GET THIS MESSAGE ONCE. I am sending this message two different ways. One from the email listserver which hosts WADAS and one by everyone's individual email address. GMAIL, OUTLOOK (which is connected to Hotmail, MSN, Live and other email services) have all implemented security measures in the last few months that make sending bulk email more difficult. Many of you are actually getting the mail (I can see it being delivered at the operating system level), BUT, it's getting sent to SPAM,TRASH, or JUNK folders for some of you. To allow these messages to get through on these services SOMETIMES you just have to go to your email management page and select the domain "rodeonetworks.com", or "lists.rodeonetworks.com" and allow the domain to send mail or put it as a "safe sender", or mark it as "not spam". In other cases, the messages are being rejected by your servers as SPAM and being sent back to me. I have to research each one, adjust the sending system, and try again until I nail down all the reasons that someone's email service might reject a message from our bulk list server. I WILL get them all nailed down. if you still don't get messages from the WADAS list (wadas(a)lists.rodeonetworks.com <mailto:wadas@lists.rodeonetworks.com> ) let me know. I'll be sending out test messages over the next few days so I can watch how various servers are responding with the new rules in place. I have confirmed that GMAIL and COMCAST ARE ACCEPTING MESSAGES (I have accounts on those systems I test with ). so those have been cleared. THEY DO however show up in "spam" or junk folders depending on user settings (which I cannot adjust, but YOU CAN) on individual email account settings. For the geeks among us I am adjusting the SPF, DKIM, DMARC, and whitelisting options at each domain. State Meeting

I know at least some of you have this information, but I also know some haven’t. So here is the information on the state meeting. For DAs only, the Mariners are hosting us in a suite on Sept. 27. The game is at 7:10. We probably are not required to show up very early because Marc has again. Double booked us against a presidents’ meeting at the Hit It Here Café that will occupy much of his time. More details to follow. State meeting will be bifurcated for the first time in my memory. Umpires will meet starting at 8:15 at the 20 Corners Taphouse in Woodinville. The room will be available to get in starting at 8. Umpires need to be punctual because we will be on a very tight schedule for this venue. District 6 is the host this year because it will be hosting the state major baseball tournament. They will have some “breakfast” items as we usually have. This meeting will end around 10:45. Lunch will be available starting at 11. For DAs, this will be a “working” lunch, starting as soon as most people have their food (if a buffet), or at 11 (if table service). Again District 6 is hosting. Since DAs need to be cleaned up and out of the building by 3, we will be pushed hard to get our business done. The building is being provided at no charge. Our usual building was not available, so big thanks to Brian Marantz for setting this up. Brian – could you please verify this with the owner to be sure I got the details right? Please forward any agenda items to me no later than Sept 22. Because of the tight schedule, items not on the agenda might not be discussed at the meeting. glen I am sending this out on two different lists. Hopefully, everyone gets this twice. Please let me know if you don’t. JP is spending a lot of time keeping this list up to date due to some technical issues. I don’t need to know if you DO get this message twice, please.

I am forwarding this to Melanie Heaton, the D.A. in District 6. The host for the major baseball tournament hosts the meeting and decides time and place. I as director set the schedule to fit the time and place the host district chooses. They have a meeting tomorrow night to decide what they want to do. Until about 10-12 years ago, we always went to the host district for the meeting. Several districts in a row have decided to do it in conjunction with the Mariners hosting us in a suite. This moved the meeting from mid to late October to mid September, and more recently to late September. Bob could provide more detail on this for you, Bryan.
