Hi All First game of the day 9-10-11 Soundview 3 Snohomish 2 Score was tied 2-2 going into the bottom of 6. Runners on 1st and 3rd tried to make the play at first, and error and the runner on third scored. We did hear a lot of chipping coming from the coaches about balls/strikes. Guy behind the plate this morning was Mark Dixon... Veteran ump, has done state tournaments before, and trains umpires. He was consistent as I stood behind him and watched. Snohimish was warned... next time will probably result in sanctions. In District 13 we also have a rule (and all Managers were apprised of it and it's in our documentation) chatter has to stop when the pitcher comes "set". This was relayed in writing weeks before, and in the Manager's meeting. Both teams received a warning. There were also questions about our "No outside Speakers, and be kind with noise makers" rule... We referred the fans to our website where it's posted and they returned their team sound systems to their vehicles. We did hear some coach swearing at the end of the game ... Here so far at the major state baseball tournament we have had the opportunity to have two photographers come in one took still photos and is selling them on site. The other one took action shots of every game and has donated them to everybody to download at their discretion they’re slowly being uploaded to our district 6 Facebook page. Please send your teams to the district 6 Facebook page to see if their game has been posted yet. These pictures were taken for free and we’re donated for free for families to create those memories

Updates for 2025 8/10 Baseball Tournament Managers:

Hi Managers! I wanted to provide you with some updates for the Tournament: • The Manager Meeting time will be on Saturday the 19th at 9:00 am at Bar-S Playfield. This will allow more time for questions. • Tournament documents will be turned in at this time and not returned until the documents have been verified. • Please come prepared to the meeting with team parent information for a Scorekeeper and an Announcer/Pitch Counter. Although we may have such volunteers signed up and ready for each game, a backup would be helpful, so we aren’t trying to do this last minute. • I have asked that the bracket from our State site list the fields as North and South as that is how they are labeled. Field one will be the South Field and field two will be the North Field. This will be the one printed at the field and updated following games. • I am working on getting some practice fields while you are in town, more information to follow at the Manager Meeting. • We are doing a 50/50 raffle for each game time. Winner to be drawn in the fourth inning. We will accept cash or venmo. District 7 proceeds will go to offset the cost of the medallions and pins for each player in the tournament. • We have a t-shirt vendor on site but you can also order online at https://d7-little-league.square.site/ . • Opening Ceremonies / Fish Stick Game: *Previously posted * Details are being worked on by the Host League President, but roughly: o Mel Olson Stadium in White Center, just a few minutes south of West Seattle o Friday 7/18 o Opening ceremony approx 5:45-6:15pm o Fishsticks game is 6:35, game lasts approx 2 hours o On-field activities for players before the game (players, bring your glove!), plus fun contests for kids between innings. They know how to put on a show! o Full food & beverage concessions, including a beer garden for 21+ attendees o Tickets would be approx. $10 for all kids and attendees. I am working on details with the team and will get a link for families to pre-purchase tickets. o As soon as I get the link for tickets I will send it out. Small adjustments (sheesh)

Hi All In trying to help folks adjust to the new brackets we have made a couple of changes. First change is Game 1 will be played at 3:00 PM on the 19th instead of 9 AM. Next change is D 12 and D13 are swapping spots on the latest bracket to help ease the time crunch on D12. We have talked with the managers of teams from D8, D3, and D12 and all is sorted. I will be sending out a revised bracket (swapping 12/13) and noting the time change for Game 1. I expect it will be out early AM tomorrow. 10-11 BB Bracket Change

Hi All, We have found out today we don't have a team coming to the 10-11 State Tournament that was previously planned for. I have called Western and advised them of the bracket change. New Brackets are attached. One of the "bye" teams is moving into a slot on the first day of play and we will be going to a 12 team bracket. D9 will be playing D8 on Saturday. D3 Moves their first game to Sunday. In redoing the bracket two teams got "uncoupled" from each other in the new bracket (3 and 8). So we tossed a coin and D3 got the bye. New brackets attached along with the revised schedule... It also looks like the first elimination game will be MONDAY instead of Sunday... Sorry for the last minute change.
