Montesano was down 1-9 in the 3rd and came back to take the lead 12-9 by the 5th inning. But BLS tied it up in the top of the 6th and held them to force the extra inning. Great game to watch, but sad to see Montesano go 🙁 Our last game of the night was supposed to start at 6:30 but didn't get going until 7:30. We were only able to get 3 complete innings in before we suspended it due to darkness. At the conclusion of 3 innings, the score is D7 West Seattle 7 and D8 North Shore 6. The continuation of this game will resume at 4pm tomorrow and the winner will play again at 6:00, with the loser leaving us. And speaking of leaving us, Amy Dahlin of D11 (Susie's ADA) has been down helping me out since last Friday night, but she has to leave tomorrow—she has been such a TREMENDOUS help and has really helped me train up some super good new volunteer scorekeepers! To All: Even though I am no longer the UIC for District 12, I am writing to ask for assistance with the 9/10/11 State Tournament. Literally, two of the games only have one umpire, two of the games have two umpires, and only the last game has 4 umpires. I am asking, actually begging, for any assistance you can provide. Hi All, I have just finished rebuilding the list server that emails everyone in Washington on the DA list. It took about 14 hours but it looks as if it is working right. Because of the glitch we have had for the last couple of months in it, Google and Yahoo tagged the messages as SPAM and have been routing the messages to your SPAM folders but that behavior should stop. If you do find a message in your spam folder, you can tell GMAIL that the email coming from the list is “good email” and not spam and it will deliver to your inbox normally. Here’s a quick YouTube video for those of you that can’t read 😊 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3XfXoS40wDc It will show you how to adjust spam settings in GMAIL. The messages are sending correctly and everyone should be getting delivery now. I apologize for it taking me so long to get it fixed, but we were moving offices and it was on the list “to-do” but I got kind of busy with the move. Sent information via that site's "CONTACT US" page to the location where the webmaster could find the updated tournament results bracket. The results for this tournament can be found on our website at https://www.dist6wa.org . From the home page just click on "Bracket" at the end of 2024 Girls 9 to 11 Little League Softball Washington State Tournament line. I will do my best to enter the results soon after the games are over. After I update the bracket you will see the results within five minutes of the update. Hi All We always do the “what if” game… parents would (and have) scream (ed) if we didn’t… if someone else got a chance to stay in, everyone should have the same chance. Also, I was one of the coaches coaching a 10-11 LL STATE Tournament team in Yakima in 2010 that WON coming up from the “losers” brackets… so yeah, I like “what if” games. We did have the Majors BB District tournament go to the if game and the team coming from the lower bracket did win to go to State this year. For the JR and SR State baseball that just concluded last week we did use the modified schedule, partly due to the Srs having such a short turnaround time to go to regionals and that we play our Championship games at the MLB Mariner Farm Team Funco Field. I had no complaints but we did communicate this very clearly to the managers at the manager meeting. I apologize for not getting scores to all of you. I have been keeping up the state website manager – Rob Little – but forgot until I started opening mail that I also need to send to district administrators. I had missed several days of email, but as I caught up I was reminded of my omission. Day 1 Pacific 8, West Seattle 0 North Central 4, Spokane Valley/Liberty Lake 3 Asotin County 10, Sedro-Woolley 1 Hazel Dell 11, Richland National 9 – 9 innings North Kitsap 13, Camas 3 Day 2 Chehalis 3, Pacific 0 North Central 4, Issaquah 2 Asotin County 2, Hazel Dell 1 South Hill 6, North Kitsap 2 Richland National 10, Sedro-Woolley 0 – Loser Out Day 3 North Kitsap 6, Spokane Valley/Liberty Lake 2 – Loser Out West Seattle 3, Hazel Dell 2 – 8 innings – Loser Out Issaquah 2, Camas 0 – Loser Out Richland National 3, Pacific 0 – Loser Out Good crowds, mild temperatures, and good games. No real issues, except one very small minority of fans from one league who were trying to get to the umpires after a loss. We have a construction trailer as an umpire room. The two men trying to get in were stopped by some of our volunteers. One woman got inside to demand the umpires’ names, phone numbers and addresses, but left when threatened with the probability of police intervention. The only other incidents were a single fan being asked to quit yelling insulting comments, who apologized to the person asking and to the other fans around him; and in another game, what appeared to be a “civil war” between fans who supported a coach and others who were yelling very negative (threatening?) comments to the coach. That’s not bad considering how high emotions get in the high-stress atmosphere of a majors state tournament. Tomorrow we have 4 games – Chehalis plays North Central and Asotin County plays South Hill in winner’s bracket games. North Kitsap plays West Seattle and Issaquah plays Richland National compete in loser out games.
