Senior Baseball Update - Days 1 & 2

Sorry for the delay....came home from day 1 and had to sew patches onto jerseys for the D11 team. Yeah, apparently I suck at saying 'no.' Anyway, day 1 (Saturday) went well. Game 1: D8 over D9 9-6 Game 2: D4 over D2 8-3 Game 3: D1 over D6 20-0 Felt bad for the D6 kiddos. They were the most impacted by D3's last minute exit, changing them from a 2:00 Sunday game to a 3:00 Saturday game. When trying to build the new 7-team bracket, the bracket builder had a glitch (Rob L and I worked on that). Long story short (b/c hey, it's tournament season and we're all fried), finally got the updated bracket sent out late Thursday night. After the Friday manager's meeting I told the D6 manager that I'd see him tomorrow. He responded that they were playing on Sunday.... Between the late night email and the updated bracket being in the folder we gave him, he didn't notice the change. So his kiddos scrambled to get up here in time. They play again tomorrow and I'm hoping to see them play more like they want to... Funny from Day 1. One of the pitchers from D1 was having issues with his shoes slipping when he was pitching, so the manager went out the field, took off HIS shoes, gave them to the player, and then walked back to the dugout in his socks, carrying the kid's shoes. Next at bat the kid hit a triple. When the manager was signing his pitching records I inquired if he'd gotten his shoes back. "Heck no, the kid hit a triple, those shoes are gone." Fast forward to day 2. D1 is playing, the manager goes out to have a mound visit, so I get on the PA and say, "Gil, give him your shoes." Lots of parent laughter. Day 2 (Sunday) Game 4: D11 over D8 19-6 Game 5: D4 over D1 6-3 Not gonna lie, I enjoyed game 4. This is my sixth state tourney as a parent, and my boys now have a game record of 2-10. You all know as well as I do, D11 isn't competitive in baseball at state tourneys, so the victory was sweet. Game 5 was honestly the best game we've had yet in terms of good baseball. It was close, it was competitive, and it was fun to watch. The parents have done pretty well; we do a 6th inning 'stretch' each game and make them all join in singing the 'National Anthem of Baseball'. They're getting the hang of it. Looking forward to more good baseball tomorrow, and crossing my fingers the manager from D1 remembers to pack some extra shoes. -- Amy Dahlin District Administrator WA District 11 Little League

2026 Baseball 9-11 All Stars Results

All, It was a great day of baseball in Snohomish County, with five games played today. Every game was highly competitive and featured excellent pitching and defense. All 13 districts are represented in the tournament. Tomorrow, the teams that received first-day byes, District 11 Anacortes Little League, District 2 South Kitsap Eastern Little League, and District 3 Capital Olympia Little League will take the field for their first games. Intermediate Baseball State Champion

Hello Fellow Washington State DA's I am extremely pleased to announce that we have an Intermediate Baseball State Champion—my very own District 12 team, Pasco National Little League! Pasco remained undefeated throughout the tournament, facing an especially tough competitor in Cammie's D7 team from Seattle Central/Rainier; once in a come from behind 7th inning walk off win against them on Thursday night, and again in a tight 3-0 victory against them for the championship game this morning. Now I need to get them properly sent off to Nogales AZ in less than 2 weeks for the Regional Tournament!! Kit has already sent me the packet to share with them from Jorge, but if any of you with experience in this department has any hints or advice to share with me I would certainly appreciate it. Wondering what financial help (if any) we are allowed to provide the league from the District? We have never had a State Champion in a division that advances to Regionals in my 15 years as DA, so I am definitely a fish out of water here, lol...and of course this is the one year in recent memory that I totally spaced off entering the DA travel fund pool that Martin organizes every year!! Oh well, the Pasco league president and her husband, who is the manager of this team, happen to be very good Little League friends of mine, so I will definately be attending the first few days of the tournament to watch the opening day festivities and at least their first 2-3 games. I'm just wondering what sort of help from the District to a league who advances to a Regional tournament is allowed and/or customary. And do you have any fundraising advice I can pass along to them? 9-11 BB Artificial Mound

WA State DA's, To speed up the 9-11 Baseball State Tournament we will be using a 2nd field at Mukilteo LL. The fiedl is a very well kept grass infield but does have an artificial mound. The main field we are using does have a dirt/clay mound. Please respond if you have any questions, approval or objections. Thanks for your consideration. Hi everyone! I looked at my bracket yesterday and noted it was for ten teams, eleven teams are coming. Sent an eleven team bracket out last night and it was approved this morning. (Wow!) I have copied the three Districts that have reached out to me, District 1, 3 and 10. I know most of you, like myself, are finishing up tournaments this week. I will update my list as the emails come in. Mr. Little, if you could be so kind and replace this eleven team bracket with the one that is posted on the state website, I would appreciate it.
