Greetings from West Plains Little League! As most of you know, District 13 is hosting the Washington State Majors All Star tournament this year! This is a very exciting opportunity for our district. West Plains Little League will be the host league for the state tournament. In order to run a top notch event, we need all the volunteers we can get. We are having a planning meeting tomorrow evening (Wednesday February 26th) at 6:30p.m. at the Wren Pierson Community Center in Cheney, WA. I wanted to let you all know in case you had any interest in being part of the planning of the tournament. All are welcome! If you have any questions, please let me know. Thanks so much! 2020 Art Mikelsen - Mariners Care Scholarship Grant information

All - From the Mariners! [JP] Folks: Attached please find information about the 2020 Art Mikelsen - Mariners Care Little League Scholarship Grant. Any questions you might have should be answered in the attached but please reach out if that is not the case. Please forward to your leagues so they can assess their needs and see if they should apply. Three things to note: 1. As noted in the attached, previous recipients are welcome to reapply for this and future years. They would just need to include a general accounting of how they spent their past grant $$. 2. While participation in the Mariners-Little League program is not a prerequisite for receiving the grant, all things being equal the nod would go to a league which has a history of participating. 3. This grant is specifically for funding for scholarship players and the costs associated with that. Applications for the grant requesting funds for such things as field maintenance issues and improvements will not be considered.
