The Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO) is accepting Letters of Intent from organizations for the state grant program, No Child Left Inside (NCLI), which provides funding to support quality opportunities for underserved youth to learn, play, and experience the outdoors. RCO manages NCLI on behalf of the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission. RCO will use the information to inform the Governor’s Office, the Legislature, and others about the need in advance of budget discussions and funding decisions. Although the Letter of Intent will not be scored, providing clear and succinct responses will contribute to the future of the grant program. The full application round will open early in 2027. Heads up - Tournament note:

Hi All, Wanted to make sure your managers have the correct kind of lineup cards. For each game, we need to have a lineup delivered to: 1. The plate umpire 2. The scorer's table 3. The opposing manager And you'll probably want a copy for the dugout so any lineup card that comes in at least that many parts is good enough. We will have you exchange the lineup with the ump at the plate 5 minutes before gametime at the plate meeting, then at the coin-toss you can leave a copy on the scorer's table, and exchange with the other manager. FW: Scorekeepers - NEED HELP!

Hi All, Jason, one of the board members from Tri-County is asking for some urgent help. As you may or may not know scorekeeping is one of the most important parts of the tournament from an administrative standpoint. Plus combine that with the need to know the score, pitchcount, balls, strikes, etc whenever there is a question or “discussion” on the field, the scorekeeper is pretty important. Tri County is having a hard time filling all the gaps in the Score Keeper position and was hoping you all could kick in some volunteers. See below for gaps. Reminder for Districts

Hi All, Couple of schedule reminders: 1. Managers meeting set for 5:00PM at the Deer Park City Hall for ALL managers of all teams in the tournament to attend. If the MANAGER cannot attend, then a coach who will be in the dugout for all games may attend in their place. ANY team not having a manager or coach at the meeting forfeits their coin-toss rights for the tournament. This meeting is important for smooth play during the tournament and sets the tournament to be equitable for everyone. 2. There were a couple teams whose books were not complete or ineligible. I will be there in Deer Park early to review the books and sign off on the corrections. I’m hoping to arrive around 4:00PM if the room is available. If not I’ll review in the hallway 😊 . 3. This is the second year under the new bat guidelines for umpires/managers. PLEASE BE AWARE OF ALL OF THE RULES FOR BATS, TAPE, SIZES etc. Failure to comply with the bat standards, according to the Little League rules can mean disqualification for team… 4. I have all the medals/rings/etc and all the pins we need. However, Little League is running behind on the banners. I am hoping they will be here by Monday. If not I will make sure your banners get to you before you all head to state. 5. The President’s meeting is immediately after the Manager’s meeting. It will be brief but necessary. If a president cannot attend, please make sure at least one Board member does. Looking forward to a great tournament… See you tomorrow! Manager and Presidents Meeting, and Tournament schedule change

Hi All, After review and discussion with Tri-County, the brackets have been changed slightly for the District Tournament. To better accommodate volunteer availability, we have adjust times for some games. Primarily on Sunday, but check the rest of the schedule... The location for the managers meeting and presidents meeting for June 19th is the Deer Park City Hall at 316 W Crawford Street, Deer Park, WA 99006. It'll be in the council chambers which is off to the left just after the main entrance.... Tri-County is trying to make us feel like "big shots"... wow... council chambers....whew...! Tournament schedules

Hi All, I have posted the tentative schedules on the District 13 Website https://wadist13ll.org/districts/ Please let me know if you see any issues with them. We will have our Managers meeting at 5:00PM in Deer Park (Tri-county will let me know the venue shortly). Teams that do not send a manager (or coach that will be in the dugout during ALL games) will forfeit their right for coin toss throughout the tournament. This is a mandatory meeting. Then the Presidents meeting is at 6:00PM at the same venue. Each year Little League requires the DAs to meet with the leagues 5x a year. This is one of those times, and since it is District tournament time, it's a good time to get together. It also helps reinforce tournament rules and equip the Boards to help their managers be successful at the Tournament and into State. If the president cannot attend for some reeeeaaalllllyyy special reason, they must send one of the Board members in their place. ALL board members are always available to attend any meeting held by the District.
