New League Formed for North Spokane

All, I'd like to introduce you to the President of North Spokane Little League. Her name is Alexis Heitman, mom, and softball coach! We did manage to get a board formed last night at their first official meeting. While we are still hashing out boundary details, I think they will have several teams playing the 2024 Season. This is where all our fine leagues in District 13 need to leave 3-4 games open in their schedule to play inter-league with the newly formed North Spokane league. They will need LOTS of Softball games as we think there will be more softball teams for them this year. They still have several (many) board positions to fill, but they got enough together to start. I am asking all the presidents (as we discussed back in October) to PLEASE assist the new league as none of the board has ever ran a league before. I am asking the ADAs to come alongside and communicate and help them get their feet under them for the 2024 season. Welcome aboard! JP DA WA13/ and soon not to be WA5

Starting with the 2025 season, children at the youngest levels of the Little League® Baseball and Softball program ( <http://click.email.littleleague.org/?qs=ba44794f7fef986795711e7bcef44a85496…> League Age 4-7) throughout the United States will have the ability to register and play for any local Little League program they choose, without respect to any <http://click.email.littleleague.org/?qs=ba44794f7fef9867333e8301f65496a9d3d…> geography- or school-related eligibility requirements . Tournaments for 2024 - hosts with the mosts...

Hi All, In our October meetings we discussed hosting the 10-11 softball state tournament, district tournaments, an "early season" kick off tournament, and an all-stars prep-tournament.or "late spring" tournament. Sam had indicated in a follow up email that they may not be ready to host anything this year. and their fields may not be ready for early spring. Anyone wanna step up and host some stuff? South Hill and nodded "yes" but - he was driving and may not have heard all the details.. I just want to confirm some stuff before we start publishing schedules..
