Hi All, I wanted to point out something - MLB and the Players Union just failed today to come to terms on the MLB's "Best and Final" offer. This means that opening day is now cancelled for MLB. Additionally, they have not set a formal date to "renegotiate" things for the players/MLB. I have lived through a couple of these things and when it happens College, High School, and Little League baseball become more watched, more attended, and more supported. Take this opportunity to become more embedded in your communities, drive your registration efforts harder, and work to communicate the Little League message deeper into your fan base and families. https://www.reuters.com/lifestyle/sports/mlb-players-fail-reach-labor-agreem ent-espn-2022-03-01/ For baseball's sake I hope they come to an agreement soon, but these types of things always lead to spikes in Little League interest, participation, and support. Scheduling Intermediate with Pullman

All, Pullman is looking to pick up some games in the area and travel to and from Pullman would be a nice gesture for all sides (in otherwords don't make Pullman do all the traveling). Dayton is also looking for games --- Intermediate division is the first choice to schedule some inter-league games. anyone wanting to schedule can reply to this post. Other divisions are also welcome to interleague. Travel to and from other venues helps kids prepare for the post season and gets them the feel of "travel teams". Out of bounds players and : Tournament Dates

Hello Presidents I hope you all are doing well as we are getting closer to the 2022 season! With that being said, I am have providing you with some documents that I believe may help you prepare for the upcoming season. First you will see an Out-of-Boundary Process/Checklist document. This document provides all the necessary information when a player is requesting to play in a league that is out of his/her boundary. This document shows what pieces of information are needed from each party involved (home league, requested league and District Administrator). The next two documents are the 2022 tournament dates. One is specific to the regional tournaments and it will include the host of each tournament with their contact information along with the dates of those tournaments. The other document shows the date ranges for district, section and state tournaments for all age divisions. I would like to once again thank you all for your hard work and dedication to Little League, but more importantly, your dedication to serving the youth in your community. Being a League Board Member is no easy task, and I am here to help you! Please do not hesitate to reach out! Hi District 13, I'm reaching out to see what the landscape looks like for U13 Intermediate teams for potential interleague play this spring. It looks like we will have at least 2 and maybe 3 teams and will be looking for game opportunities. Are any other leagues going to have intermediate teams? Important Dates for District 13 LL

Hi All, I wanted to remind everyone of a few things and the associated important dates: 1. I will be sending out League Assessments in about a week. Those are used to fund District Operations. We discussed and voted on these during our last meeting. Those are due by April 15. 2. There is an umpire clinic that is FREE to anyone who wishes to learn umpiring with the State Umpire-In-Chief Dennis Williams. It is tentatively scheduled for Mar 13 in Liberty Lake. There will be some class time, field time, and snacks and beverages provided. 3. I am open to holding a coaches clinic in March as well. We had talked about South Hill, Liberty Lake, or Cheney as being the site of that, however I am open for suggestions. Please let me know if ANYONE has any other ideas for where/when to hold a coaches clinic. We can put on clinics (2 hour each) for T-Ball, Minors, Majors, Intermediate, and Juniors. 4. District Tournament is to be held Liberty Lake this year. Date is Jun 27. Liberty Lake President will be the tournament director. So far we are considering Minors, Majors, 10-11, Intermediate, and possibly softball. Please let me know as the season goes on as to what your participation will be - the more teams we have in every division, the better we perform at State. 5. State Tournament Schedule is attached. It just got finalized this week. It also includes regional and world series dates. Keep in mind that a "meet the team night " is a great way to get volunteers and resources for your league operations. I am happy to give you the run-down on how to do a successful "meet the team night". Regards JP DA WA5/13
